Summer is in full swing and there’s nothing better than whipping up some quick and easy gluten free picnic recipes and packing up a hamper.
Sometimes a picnic can be a bit daunting if you have coeliac disease, but there are loads of ways you can make a coeliac-safe picnic!
Here I’ve rounded up some of my favourite gluten free picnic recipes, from classic gluten free scones and Cornish pasties to frittatas, salads and more.
The best thing is if you’re armed with plenty of Tupperware containers and some imagination, you can make a picnic even the gluten-eaters will love.

Top tips for a gluten free picnic
If you’re going on a picnic and worried about keeping it safely gluten free, there are a few things you can do.
Try to keep every dish in its own container to avoid any cross contamination between gluten free and gluten-filled dishes.
You’ll also want to pack plenty of serving spoons to ensure there is no double dipping! And if you have opted for crisps and dip, spoon the dips out onto your plate before dipping your crisps.
It’s also a good idea to pack some basics like gluten free sandwiches and keep them labelled and separate from the ‘normal’ sandwiches.
With a little care and attention, you can enjoy a completely gluten free picnic and not have to worry – and hopefully these recipe ideas will help you out!
