Gluten and dairy free Christmas food in Morrisons

This Christmas I’ve been working on updating all my old supermarket Christmas food guides, but I had never written one for Morrisons before.

This shows how far the store has come as Morrisons has such an amazing range of gluten free Christmas food this year!

I’ll be updating this guide as I find more goodies, but here is my guide to gluten and dairy free Christmas food in Morrisons…

Gluten free Morrisons Christmas food update for 2021…

Morrisons gluten free chilled party food

Gone are the years when Morrisons had a whole range of gluten free options in their party food range.

Not even the mozzarella sticks are gluten free anymore and I am still mourning the loss of their breaded cheese bites they stopped several years ago.

I did find these rosti sticks with a BBQ dip and loaded potato skins, as well as pre-cooked pigs in blankets.

So there are a few options but I wouldn’t get your hopes up. However I did find some fun stuff in the frozen aisle!

Morrisons frozen gluten free party food

I’m really excited to try the frozen paneer bites and the onion bhajis – these are hard to find gluten free so might have to stock up for the year.

These potato wedges are also a free from find in the normal food and I’ve stocked up so I can load them up with chilli and cheese for an easy meal!

Morrisons The Best Free From Gluten Free Stuffing

I was sent this stuffing and the following Christmas dinner products as part of an advert I worked with Morrisons on so have been lucky enough to try them out.

This stuffing is really easy, just add water and oil, and tastes delicious.

It would make a great addition to any roast or Christmas dinner!

Morrisons The Best Bread Sauce (Gluten Free)

I’d never had gluten free bread sauce until I tried this and was really impressed with how it tasted.

This paired perfectly with roast potatoes and gravy and I was so happy that it was a ‘normal’ product which is gluten free.

Definitely pick this up if you want gluten free bread sauce with your Christmas dinner.

There is also a free from bread sauce mix in the free from aisle which you can add milk (normal or dairy free) to as well.

Morrisons gluten free cocktail sausages

I rarely see gluten free cocktail sausages anywhere so the fact Morrisons do them is very exciting!

Both the plain and caramelised onion ones sound fab – I’d happily scoff the lot.

Cook them up for a party platter or just roll them in bacon for DIY pigs in blankets!

Morrisons gluten free pigs in blankets

Finding gluten free pigs in blankets nowadays is relatively easy and these are one of my faves.

They’re wrapped in maple cured bacon and taste absolutely delicious!

Morrisons gluten free stuffing

It looks like Morrisons has a good range of gluten free stuffing in its Best range – including both stuffing and stuffing balls.

I really like the sound of the pork, chestnut and caramelised onion stuffing balls and might have to go back and get some!

They also have gluten free sausagemeat which is perfect for making your own or for making gluten free sausage rolls.

Morrrisons The Best Turkey Gravy

I was so incredibly pleased with this gluten free turkey gravy from Morrisons I’ve gone back to find more!

It’s thick and delicious and perfect ‘proper’ gravy if you don’t want to make your own.

Morrisons gluten free gingerbread and butterscotch sponge pudding

How amazing does this gluten free dessert sound from Morrisons?

It’s super sparkly with a butterscotch sauce – the perfect alternative to a Christmas pudding.

And I can confirm after scoffing this that it was bloody delicious.

Morrisons free from gingerbread crumble mince pies

Ok, move over all other mince pies because these gluten free gingerbread crumble minces pies are super scrummy.

They’re also certified vegan which means more people can enjoy them.

Morrisons free from choccy gingerbread men

Well look at these super cute gluten free and vegan gingerbread men.

I found these in the free from aisle and think they’d make a great gift for young and old.

If you want a treat you can just pick away at while watching a Christmas film, this is it.

Morrisons free from gingerbread men

Gingerbread men are the epitome of Christmas and these little characters are gluten free, dairy free and wheat free as well as vegetarian. 

Morrisons gluten free ginger tiffin squares

These ginger tiffin squares are gluten free and vegan.

They sound delicious and like a perfect treat for a Christmas party platter.

Morrisons cranberry and orange mini bites

These gluten free cranberry and orange mini bites look so beautiful.

They’re gluten free and vegan and flavoured with cranberries and orange oil. Yummy!

Morrisons gluten free mini pastry tart cases

If you’re not a fan of making gluten free pastry then these gluten free mini pastry tart cases can definitely make life easier for you! 

I found them in Morrisons (they used to be in Tesco last year but I haven’t seen them yet this year!) and think they might be a game-changer for some!

Gluten and dairy free robin sponge Christmas cake

This gluten and dairy free Madeira Christmas cake from Morrisons is super cute and it’s nice to see a festive cake which isn’t the traditional fruit cake too. I love the little robins on top!

Gluten free chocolate brownie star cookies kit

I love a bake at home kit and this one from Morrisons looks fabulous.

Gluten free chocolate brownie star cookies sound amazing – this will definitely be a good one to keep the kids happy this Christmas.

Gluten and dairy free mini crackers

I love the look of these little gluten and dairy free mini crackers from Morrisons.

They’d be perfect for a party spread and for dipping or topping.

I like seeing more gluten free savoury offerings on the shelves.

If you fancy a big version of this festive cracker selection, this gluten free cracker box from Morrisons looks perfect for Christmas.

I’ll certainly be buying one for my cheeseboard!

Morrisons jewelled gluten free Christmas cake

This rich fruit cake has a lovely festive decoration and is packed with fruit and nuts.

A great option if you love fruit cake but are not a fan of fondant icing or marzipan.

Morrisons gluten free Christmas pudding

This mini gluten free Christmas pudding serves one person – it’s gluten free and vegan.

I love the fact it is made with cider too, sounds delicious!

Morrisons oaty cookie collection

I do miss being able to dip into the biscuit tin at Christmas so this little tin of gluten free cookies from Morrisons could be a game changer. It would make a lovely gift too.

Morrisons Belgain milk chocolate, rum and raising cookies

How awesome do these boozy cookies sound!? Rum and raisin is an awesome combination but it sounds even better in cookie form!

These shortbread sound deliciously festive – gluten free shortbread with cranberry and orange flavours.

Yay, another new gluten free panettone to try! This cute little one from Morrisons looks lovely.

These star-topped mince pies look delicious and are gluten free as well as vegan. Packed with festive flavour.

Dairy free festive cheeses

Morrisons have three types of dairy free festive cheeses this year, perfect for a vegan or dairy free cheeseboard. Choose from cream cheese, cheddar or Wensleydale with cranberry.

Gluten free ‘MistleMoo’ pie

I LOVE Pieminister pies and this gluten free Mistlemoo one I found in the chilled Morrisons aisle looks SO good. It’s filled with beef steak, bacon and port, and it just sounds absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to try it.

Morrisons gluten free Christmas sandwich

I’m really pleased to see that Morrisons has brought out a new gluten free Christmas sandwich too.  It’s turkey, pork stuffing, bacon and cranberry chutney on malted gluten free bread. Morrisons do the best meal deal too!
