I’ve had a wander around some shops I don’t usually visit this week and spotted a good few gluten free goodies I wanted to share! I know you guys love a new gluten free find as much as I do so I thought I’d share the latest round of products I discovered. This time I visited Holland and Barrett, Costa Coffee and Co-Op, as well as a cheeky fly around Asda, Morrisons and Tesco.
Here are some of the new gluten free foods I found there…
Deliciously Ella ready meals
I’d seen the launch of the Deliciously Ella ready meals on social media but only came across them in the freezer of my local Holland and Barratt this week. Both the Cauliflower and Lentil Dahl and the Five Bean Chilli are gluten free, dairy free and vegan. I love the cute labels and they sound like a good grab-and-go option if you’re looking for a ready meal to microwave back at the office.
M+lk Plus drinks
These M+lk Plus drinks were another Holland and Barratt find. There was a Strawberry Cheesecake Cashew and a Salted Honeycomb Hazelnut, both of which sounded delicious. It’s nice to see some dairy free options which sound fun, and neither had any gluten in the ingredients. Will definitely be giving them a try next time I pop in there!
Vegan jelly pots from Asda
These vegan jelly pots seem to have gone a bit mad online – and I think it’s great to see more vegan sweet options like this! They’re great if you’re on a low calorie diet (or something like Slimming World) and I love the idea of Piña Colada flavoured jelly! Cannot wait to see what it’s like.
New look for Tesco products
Ok so the products aren’t new (but if you haven’t tried these mozzarella sticks yet you HAVE to) but it looks like Tesco is starting to rebrand its free from range with a sleeker look. I’m glad they’ve still kept the iconic purple so you know what to look for – what do you think of the font change?
Tesco Bratwurst
I love an ‘accidentally gluten free’ find so I was really pleased to see there was no gluten in these Tesco bratwurst. Since visiting Berlin I’ve been craving gluten free currywurst so it’s great to know I can now make my own! I’ll definitely be stocking up on these for the freezer.
Magic Rock Saucery IPA
I’m a big fan of Magic Rock’s Fantasma gluten free beer, so it was only by chance that I spotted this in the ‘normal’ craft beer aisle in Tesco and thought to check it. To my delight, Saucery is also gluten free! I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like as it has a lot to live up to with Fantasma!
Yo! Spicy Sriracha Mayo
I spotted this Yo! Spicy Sriracha Mayo in the Japanese section in Tesco and it sounds great. This would be a brilliant alternative to mayo to liven up your sandwiches or sushi. Might have to buy some of this as sometimes I feel my lunches can lack inspiration a little.
Holland & Barrett Vegan Ice-Cream
Another spot in Holland & Barrett this week was this lovely-sounding vegan passion fruit ice-cream. I saw the launch of this on social media a while back but this is the first time I’ve seen it. It’s great to see some different flavour options for dairy free ice-cream and this is gluten free too.
Gluten free porridge in Costa
Costa Coffee may have got rid of all its savoury gluten free options like sandwiches and wraps, but I did spot this gluten free porridge in my local store (and half price too!) It was pretty good and you can have jam or honey with it too. Will remember this for my post-workout snack!
Yaar Bars*
I was kindly sent these bars from Yaar and I am ACTUALLY OBSESSED. They are basically cheesecake in bar-form and quite frankly, incredible! If you’re after a few snack of choice then you have to find these – they’re in the chilled aisle in Sainsbury’s and I’m about to go hunt down a trolley full!
Free From chocolate and vanilla ice-cream cones
I found these ice-cream cones, as well as some strawberry ones, in the frozen free from counter at Morrisons. I don’t recall seeing this brand before but they’re gluten and dairy free so looked like a good option for those with multiple intolerances!
