If you're looking to save money then making some gluten free slow cooker recipes during the week is a great way to do so.
Slow cookers are one of the most energy efficient ways to cook.
Did you know they costs roughly 16p a day to run, compared to 87p a day for an electric cooker?
I find slow cookers are perfect for recipes you'd usually spend hours cooking in the oven, like stews or joints of meat.
But they're also fantastic for making things like curries because you can just chuck everything in before work and come home to a delicious dinner.
However you choose to use your slow cooker, I hope this collection of gluten free slow cooker recipes will help to inspire you to try some new dishes.
Which slow cooker do you use?
I use a Crockpot 3.7-litre slow cooker I was gifted from a family member - I think this is the newer model of mine.
I know a lot of people are worried about the cost of living and looking for cheaper alternative to turning on the gas or electric oven.
The good news is slow cookers are actually pretty efficient to run!
I've done a bit of research online and it looks like a slow cooker costs roughly 16p a day to run, compared to 87p a day for an electric cooker.

Gluten Free Slow Cooker Beef Stew
I absolutely love a beef stew but for me it has to be packed with flavour, with tender meat and a thick gravy.
My Gluten Free Beef Stew is cooked in the slow cooker making the house smell amazing all day.
It's super simple to make using basic ingredients and a great recipe for batch cooking and freezing too.
Slow Cooker Harissa Chicken
This Slow Cooker Harissa Chicken is the perfect midweek meal.
Chicken thigh fillets are cooked in a spicy tomato sauce with chorizo and chickpeas for a hearty meal.
I love making this recipe in bulk and serving it up with rice or gluten free couscous. The leftovers also taste great in a lunchbox too!
Slow Cooker Chickpea and Potato Curry
Slow cookers are usually associated with meat dishes but this Slow Cooker Chickpea and Potato Curry is a tasty vegan option.
The spicy sauce is full of flavour and this curry makes a great main dish or side dish as part of a curry spread.
And yes, you can add some chicken if you really want to! It's a great budget-friendly option for a meat-free meal.
Gluten Free Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
Making Gluten Free Pulled Pork in the slow cooker has to be the ultimate treat!
This smoky and spicy chipotle pulled pork cooks for hours until it falls apart.
It's perfect served in gluten free baps and using the slow cooker is much more energy efficient than cooking this for hours in the oven. You have to try it!
Slow Cooker Sausage and Bean Casserole
I absolutely love this slow cooker sausage casserole with baked beans - it's like a giant hug in a bowl!
Topped with cheese it's the kind of comfort food you want to eat sitting around a campfire.
Try it with crispy jacket potatoes or gluten free baguettes for an instant family favourite.
Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup
If you want a hearty treat you can make up for a packed lunch this Gluten Free Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup is perfect.
The chicken broth is light and tasty and adding rice noodles turns this into a proper meal.
I love to make a batch of this slow cooker soup and then pop some in a Thermos flask for an on-the-go lunch when I'm out and about.
Slow Cooker Gammon in Ginger Beer
Gammon is not just for Christmas - though this Slow Cooker Gammon in Ginger Beer is one of my favourite Christmas Dinner recipes!
The ginger beer gives the gammon a subtle sweetness and spice.
Plus cooking it in the slow cooker makes it extra tender - I like to finish mine off with a sticky glaze in the oven, but this is optional.
Butternut Squash and Chickpea Curry
This butternut squash and chickpea curry is another gluten free, vegan recipe which is perfect in the slow cooker.
It's served up in a mildly spiced coconut sauce and uses frozen butternut squash to make life simpler.
Plus any leftovers are amazing blended up with vegetable stock to make soup the next day.
Slow Cooker Tomato and Mascarpone Risotto
This easy tomato and mascarpone risotto is a great budget meal and one the whole family will love.
The slow cooker means you can just chuck everything in and just swirl in some creamy mascarpone once cooked.
You could also serve this up as a side dish with some roast chicken on the side.
