IMPORTANT UPDATE 2021: Unfortunately Co-op has decided, for some reason, to add wheat to ALL of it’s party food minus two items. Please read this post if you’re looking for an updated version of what is gluten free for Christmas 2021.
I did however feel it was important to keep the original post below, in the hope that anyone new to gluten free might help us put pressure on Co-op to revert back to it’s gluten free items!
Please do contact Co-op and let them know your feelings on this, and let’s keep our fingers crossed for 2022…

Original post from 2020:
All of the exciting Christmas food is coming out in the shops at the moment, and I’m doing my best to round it all up for you guys!
Co-op has really pulled it out the bag as they have re-released all their gluten free party food again today and it’s part of a deal too!
It’s all gluten free and they even have some new items on last year.
As well as this, there’s a whole range of new gluten free Christmas foods in the free from aisle. Here’s a look at the gluten free Christmas food you can buy in Co-op this year…
Co-op gluten free vegetable spring rolls
I was absolutely over the moon when Co-op bought out these frozen spring rolls last year which were gluten free, and I’m pleased to report they’re back again! Definitely stock up while you can!
Co-op tempura prawns
Another frozen special in Co-op are these gluten free tempura prawns. These were another favourite of mine last year and they’re bound to be a hit at any Christmas party.
Co-op Asian sharing selection
I’d love to know the secret to gluten free filo pastry! This Co-op Asian style sharing selection includes vegetable filo candles and crispy vegetable twists. They look fab – found in the frozen aisle.
Co-op chicken goujons
These Co-op chicken goujons are basically my dream beige food! They’re gluten free and I reckon they’d be amazing with a barbecue dip. Another frozen find.
Co-op mozzarella sticks
This pack of 12 mozzarella sticks in the Co-op frozen aisle is gluten free and they sound fabulous with a crispy garlic and parsley crumb.
Co-op mini cocktail sausages
Co-op’s bag of 28 frozen cocktail sausages seems like a bargain, especially as part of the two for £4 deal. A gluten free staple at any Christmas party spread.
Co-op chilli cheese bites
Mmm I love a cheesy party snack but with Cheddar cheese and a spicy jalapeño kick, these chilli cheese bites from Co-op’s frozen aisle sound like my kinda snack.
Co-op Indian style sharing selection
I will absolutely be stocking up on these to see me through 2020 when I need curry sides! Jackfruit samosas and crispy cauliflower popcorn sounds so intriguing – I can’t wait to try them.
Co-op mini melting chocolate puddings
Oh wow, what an epic dessert this would be! Gluten free mini melt in the middle puddings, again from the frozen aisle – I found these with the party food.
Co-op salted caramel profiteroles
These were a huge hit in the free from community last year – especially as these are gluten AND dairy free profiteroles. Definitely one I’d stock up on.
Co-op chilled party food (all gluten free!)
This new party food in Co-op’s chilled aisle was sent to me as part of a sponsored job I did with them, but it’s so good I just had to share it! These packs are £3 each or two for £5 in the chilled aisle and include coconut and chilli prawns, smoked salmon and cheddar bites, arancini balls and ham and cheese croquettes. They’re all so so good!
Co-op Ruby Reindeer cupcakes
Ahhhh I loved these cupcakes so much last year and am super pleased they’re back in Co-op’s free from aisle! They’re gluten free and just so cute – perfect for a party snack!
Co-op spiced salted caramel cookies
How incredible do these cookies from Co-op sound? Spiced salted caramel just sounds like the ultimate dream – I can’t wait to try them. I reckon these would be lovely dipped in a cuppa while watching a festive movie one evening!
Co-op dairy free Santa
This little chocolate Santa bar from Co-op is so cute and a great little stocking filler. I like that you are able to buy some individual products like this instead of just multi-packs of everything.
Co-op gluten free chocolate yule log brownies
How beautiful are these gluten free chocolate yule log brownies from Co-op? I love the golden hand finish and when I tried them last year they were absolutely delicious.
Co-op free from Christmas pudding
This gluten free Christmas pudding from Co-op is also milk free and the perfect-sized serving for one. A cute little addition to your festive food shop.
Co-op gluten free mince pies
Co-op are doing packs of four mince pies and they look lovely. These would be a great option to try with a full pastry lid and a dusting of sugar. Again, I haven’t yet tried these but they do look nice.
Have you found anything else?
