The Costa Coffee 2024 Christmas drinks are here – so I’ve scoured the allergen menu to find out which Costa Coffee Christmas drinks are gluten free. While some of the drinks don’t contain gluten, others have may contain warnings or gluten in the ingredients. So here’s a look at what’s gluten free in Costa Coffee’s Christmas menu for 2024.

Costa Coffee’s Christmas Menu for 2024 is finally here – but what is gluten free?

Unfortunately, I need to start this post with a caveat that Costa Coffee does use Alpro oat milk in all its stores, which is not gluten free.

This means if you have coeliac disease you need to decide if you feel the risk of cross contamination is too great. I know some risk it, and other don’t.

You can read more about this in my gluten free oat milk guide, but it’s important to know that all of Costa Coffee’s oat milk drinks are not gluten free.

Which Costa Christmas drinks are gluten free?

Costa has a reasonable selection of non-gluten-containing drinks, with old returning favourites such as the black forest hot chocolate and gingerbread latte.

The following Costa Coffee Christmas drinks are gluten free:

  • Golden Caramel Latte Macchiato and Iced Macchiato (except with oat milk)
  • Black Forest Hot Chocolate (except with oat milk)
  • Black Forest Frappe (except with oat milk)
  • Caramel Nutcracker Latte and Iced Latte (except with oat milk)
  • Caramel Nutcracker Hot Chocolate (except with oat milk)
  • Festive Spice Latte and Iced Latte (except with oat milk)
  • Festive Spice Flat White (except with oat milk)
  • Still Lemonade
  • Pink Lemonade

The following Costa Coffee Christmas are NOT gluten free:

  • Maple Hazel Latte and Iced Latte – contains wheat
  • Maple Hazel Hot Chocolate – contains wheat
  • Gingerbread Cream Latte – the gingerbread man topping contains wheat.
  • Terry’s Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate – may contain wheat

Of course, please always double check in stores if you’re unsure.

This information is based off of the Costa Allergen Menu but information can change so it’s always safe to double check.

Costa Coffee gluten free Christmas food

I wouldn’t settle in for a long read here folks, because although Costa has a big range of Christmas food, pretty much nothing is gluten free.

Costa used to have a lot of different gluten free cakes but the only festive offering is the gluten free and vegan mince tart. Which is delicious, but still, not exactly inspiring!
