Christmas can seem daunting when you’re gluten free and the seasonal supermarket shelves are brimming with gluten filled biscuits, crisps, chocolates and more.
But the great news is, thanks to Schär, you don’t have to miss out on all your favourite treats just because you’re gluten free!
From chocolate goodies to stocking fillers and tasty savoury snacks, you can find everything you need in the free from aisle this Christmas.
To help you out, here’s what’s on offer from Schär this Christmas – and it’s seriously exciting!
Schär Gluten Free Lebkuchen
I was SO ridiculously excited when Schär released these gluten free lebkuchen last year and I am so pleased they are back again.
These sweet and spicy German biscuits are chewy and warming all at the same time.
They’re covered in chocolate and take me right back to Christmas in my pre-coeliac days when we would always have a stash of these in the house.
Kick back with a hot chocolate and enjoy a Christmas movie while nibbling on these – they’d make the perfect gift for a coeliac who hasn’t tasted them for years too!
Schär Gluten Free Jaffa Cakes
Exciting news this Christmas – not only do Schär’s gluten free Jaffa Cakes come in this cute festive packaging, but there’s also a new flavour!
Now you can enjoy the incredible new raspberry gluten free Jaffa Cakes as well as the orange classics.
These would be fantastic on a Christmas party spread or for munching on when you’re watching some great festive telly.
They’re also something that kids will love – perfect for putting out when you just want nibbles.
Schär Gluten Free Chocolate Fingers
Another great addition to your Christmas nibbles table are these Schär Gluten Free Chocolate Fingers.
They’re an absolute classic at any party or gathering or just for evening nibbles.
I’m definitely going to be picking up a few boxes of these for the Christmas season because I know once I open them, it’ll be hard to stop!
You could also use these to make some awesome festive treats – my personal favourite way to eat them is dunking them in a hot chocolate!
However you choose to enjoy them, these gluten free chocolate fingers will always be a festive staple in our household.
Schär Gluten Free Tempties
If you miss Ferrero Rocher then this will make you VERY happy – you have to try the Schär gluten free Tempties!
These delicious chocolate treats feature a praline centre, surrounded by gluten free wafer and smothered in milk chocolate.
You’ll find it hard to resist scoffing the whole box so make sure you stock up.
The Schär Tempties make an excellent stocking present or gift for someone, especially if they really miss Ferrero Rocher.
Gluten Free Spekulatius
These gluten free Spekulatius by Schär are another product which was newly launched last year and was a huge hit.
Fans of Lotus Biscoff will love them – they’re sweet and spicy and another treat which reminds me of Christmas markets.
A box of these as a gift would absolutely put a smile on a gluten free person’s face!
They bring back to much childhood nostalgia and always make me feel a bit more included in the celebrations.
I’m also going to use these to make a Spekulatius Cheesecake soon – keep an eye on my Instagram account if you want the recipe!
Gluten Free Pretzels
I love having a table of nibbles in the lounge during the festive season and gluten free pretzels are absolutely part of it!
Perfect for snacking on while you’re playing games or watching telly, these Schär Gluten Free Pretzels are great.
I love pairing them with cheese and nuts, but you can also incorporate these into some fun treats.
Last year I made little Christmas truffle reindeer for my friends using the pretzels cut in half as antlers.
They’re also delicious dipped in melted chocolate and left to set for that perfect sweet and salty combination. You must try it!
Gluten Free Schär Curvies
It’s always been pretty upsetting that Pringles aren’t gluten free – but these Schär Curvies have saved the day!
Crisps and dip is literally my FAVOURITE accompaniment to an evening, and these Schär Curvies – which come in barbecue and original flavour – are perfect.
The shape makes them great for scooping but they’re also really moreish just eaten straight from the box.
I even love the fact the packaging is completely recyclable, so there’s no waste after you’ve finished.
The tubes would be great for some Christmas crafting if you’ve got kids, and you can make a whole range of dips to go with them.
Whether you want them for snacking on or as part of a spread for the whole family, I’d definitely recommend picking up one of each flavour.
