I’m all for gluten free baking, but sometimes if you’re missing freshly baked gluten free bread, cakes or pastries, you just want a gluten free bakery knocking at your door.
Luckily for you, I can make your wishes come true with a selection of the best gluten free bakeries which deliver in the UK!
There are actually a lot of gluten free bakeries in the UK now and many of them offer delivery with freshly baked gluten free goodies delivered to your door.
Whether you’re craving a gluten free sourdough boule or a box of fresh gluten free donuts there’s a gluten free bakery for you.
I’ve been doing my research to find the best gluten free bakeries which deliver in the UK, and while this list is by no means inclusive, it’s an excellent place to start.
Here are eight of the best gluten free bakeries in the UK – and where to find them!
Wildcraft Bakery
Located in Leeds, Wildcraft Bakery is an award-winning 100% gluten free bakery which caters for foodies with coeliac disease.
All of Wildcraft’s products are free from the 14 allergens, making it an ‘allergy conscious’ bakery where everyone can enjoy a treat.
They do handle some allergens in the kitchen but each product has its own individual allergy status which you can check when ordering online.
Their range includes freshly-baked gluten free doughnuts in a variety of flavours, cookie pies, party pies, celebration cakes and more.
If you want to order some of their amazing-looking doughnuts you’ll need to make it snappy.
The ‘doughnut drop’ happens every Sunday at 8pm and they sell out fast, so make sure you’re there waiting if you want to gorge on all the sugary treats.
If you’re in the Leeds area, Wildcraft also has a cafe so you can pop in and visit and buy your baked goods there too.
Mannadew
Mannadew in London is a 100% gluten free bakery offering THE most incredible gluten free pastries ever!
You’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Paris eating their baked goods, which can be collected in London or delivered nationwide.
Mannadew offer an amazing range of sweet and savoury pastries with my personal favourites including gluten free croissants, chocolate twists and cheese twists.
Honestly, as someone who has never been able to eat ‘proper’ pastries, I cannot explain to you the happiness a Mannadew delivery brings.
They are absolutely the real deal and worth every single penny – their gluten free pastry is practically an art form!
Of course they also have a range of other yummy goodies including brownies, sourdough bread, focaccia and some awesome vegan bakes too.
I honestly cannot recommend their pastries enough though – they are miles better than the supermarket ones.
Wheat Free Bakery Direct
I’ve heard so many good things about Wheat Free Bakery Direct and yet am still to try their incredible gluten free range!
This certified gluten and wheat free bakery is based in Scotland with mail order gluten free treats delivered around the UK.
They have a really varied and exciting range including gluten free doughnuts, cakes, biscuits choux buns and scones.
They also have a range of gluten free breads including a sandwich loaf, gluten free sourdough, naan breads, pizza bases and flatbreads.
Plus to top it off you can also order mixes from them to bake your own gluten free treats at home.
If you’re local (they’re based in Broxburn) you can arrange to collect your baked goods, or you can order items Mon-Thursday with next day delivery.
I’ve heard a lot of great reviews of Wheat Free Bakery Direct so I need to get ordering – their filled gluten free doughnuts are calling my name!
Belle & Wilde
I first discovered Belle & Wilde when I was quarantining with the dreaded virus, because I needed something sweet, pronto!
This cute bakery actually has gluten free brownies on Amazon Prime and the idea of having them in my hand the next day sold it to me.
Belle & Wilde is based in Sussex and was started by a mum and daughter team.
They’ve won lots of awards, including a Great Taste Award, and their goodies include letterbox brownies and blondies, banana cakes and carrot cake.
They also have a fantastic range of savoury treats including fresh gluten free bread, gluten free toasts and savoury rounds.
Belle & Wilde also stock gift hampers so they’d make a lovely git for someone special.
Borough 22 Doughnuts
All hail Borough 22 – king of the gluten free and vegan doughnuts!
I’ve always been a huge fan of Borough 22 and as well as being able to find them in various London venues, you can also order them to your door!
These gluten free and vegan doughnuts come in a variety of flavours and they’re always exciting and inventive.
Buy a box of six or 12 gluten free doughnuts or even get hold of some mini doughnuts which are just the cutest!
The Cereal Milk one is always a fave but there are lots of different flavour options so it’s worth trying one of each if you can.
Borough 22 also now offers Low-FODMAP doughnuts, which I’ve never seen on the market before and is a fabulous idea.
And according to the website, it looks like bake-at-home kits are coming soon with worldwide shipping. I can’t wait!
Eat ‘n’ Mess
There are plenty of gluten free treats on offer at Eat ‘N’ Mess in Sevenoaks, Kent.
Not only do they have the cutest cafe ever and a stall at Borough Market in London, they also offer shipping on some of their gluten free treats.
From bake at home kits to gluten free cookies and tray bakes, it’s worth an order!
Eat ‘N’ Mess ship to the UK mainland with a Thursday deliver (last orders 10pm Tuesday) and if you’re local you can order to collect too.
Their gluten free cookies are INSANE (I love their peanut butter and salted caramel cookie pies) and they also do cute sugar cookies with messages on.
Their gluten free doughnut range is also dairy free with lots of different flavours to try.
Eat ‘N’ Mess also create fabulous gluten free celebration cakes and as an added bonus, they’re working towards becoming plastic free in 2022.
Sue’s Gluten Free Kitchen
Sue’s Gluten Free Kitchen is a free from kitchen which bakes gluten free goods as well as some egg, dairy and soya free treats.
Originally based in Yorkshire, Sue’s Gluten Free Kitchen started life in 2005 and caters for people with coeliac disease.
She has won a flurry of awards for her free from cakes, puddings and savoury pies.
Products can be ordered for delivery across the UK and with most arriving frozen to keep them as fresh as possible.
Everything on the site is clearly labelled as to the allergens it’s free from, and bakes includes scones, cookies, cakes and ready-roll gluten free and vegan pastry.
The savoury pies also sound amazing – there’s a chicken, leek and ham pie I’d love to try as well as a vegan chestnut mushroom, squash and thyme option.
You can also order larger cakes or even gift vouchers for a great coeliac-friendly gift!
The Gluten Free Bakery
If you’re after award winning gluten free sourdough bread, look no further than The Gluten Free Bakery.
Based in South London, The Gluten Gluten Free Bakery has a range of sourdough options for UK-wide delivery.

The Gluten Free Bakery is run by coeliac foodie Rana, who is determined to make sure us fellow coeliacs can still enjoy artisan sourdough bread products too.
I’ve long been a fan of Rana’s bagels and the rest of the bread range looks fantastic – a great choice if you want some regular staples delivered to your home.
Plus there is free delivery on orders over £40 so what better excuse to stock up?
