I can honestly say that I think Sainsbury’s is the best supermarket around. Their FreeFrom range is constantly expanding, and even their Facebook page boasts their Easter specials for gluten-free people.

This little leaflet brought a massive smile to my face

When I was walking through there the other day, I notied by the checkout they had a leaflet for people with food allergies and intolerances. I had to pick it up – I couldn’t resist – and I was filled with pride for the store.

The leaflet contains loads of useful information – perfect for newbies and seasoned Coeliacs alike. Not only does it talk about the food available in store, but it also highlights areas such as preparing food for people with food allergies/intolerances, what an intolerance is, and all about cross-contamination.

The leaflet also led me to their website, where there is a downloadable sheet containing all the items available in store which are gluten free! You can find it here.

I was just so happy that Sainsbury’s have made such an effort to make life easy for people with food allergies and intolerances.

They really stand out against the other supermarkets, and I thought it was important to share this with everyone. I will definitely be writing them a letter or praise when I get a chance – well done Sainsbury’s!
