Banana cake is one my all time favourites; sticky, sweet and slightly tropical, there is something really comforting about this treat.

So when Sally from Going Bananas! tweeted me about her new business venture launching selling gluten free banana cakes, well, I couldn’t say no!

The cake arrived in a cute little parcel tied up with string, and I couldn’t wait to open it up and tuck in.

I really impressed with how the cake looked – it looked perfect, sticky and really moist, and felt really soft and squidgy.

Often gluten free cake can be quite dry and powdery, but I thought this was a real treat.

The cake was sweet and sticky, and the banana flavour wasn’t too overpowering.

I really enjoyed this, and even went back for seconds before Steve (the BF) sneakily devoured half of it!

And, he was rather impressed too, judging by the amount he crammed into his mouth!

Going Bananas! also make a non-gluten free version of the cake, so be sure to specify when you order that you want GLUTEN FREE!
